About Us

Bihyriat is a community feminist organization located in South Darfur, managed by a group of young women from diverse backgrounds. The organization focuses on promoting women’s issues and advancing feminist concepts, as well as increasing the social and political roles of women. Bihyriat primarily provides psychological support to women, especially those in displacement camps and conflict areas, while also enhancing women’s roles in community and feminist peacebuilding. The organization conducts research on the status of women in the Darfur region, monitors and documents their conditions, and offers psychological support to women.

Additionally, Bahiryat works on protection issues, raising awareness about violence and sexual violence, promoting women’s political participation, bridging the digital gender gap, and creating a shared memory.
